Parents & Guardians
Your child's safety, comfort, and well-being are our highest priorities. Here's what to expect.
Child Welfare Protocols
A dedicated and certified Child Welfare Officer is present at all times during filming. We follow strict safeguarding procedures. The Crayon Cabin complies with COPPA guidelines concerning the data and privacy of minors participating in the show.
The Studio Experience
Filming a TV show is exciting but can be tiring. No minor is permitted to be on set for more than 7 hours total, including breaks, meals, and green room time. Episodes are recorded under controlled schedules to ensure no one is overworked.
Medical & Safety
Because Round 1 (Book Run) involves running on an LED floor, a licensed medic and first aid kit are stationed on set. Contestants must wear appropriate footwear (trainers/sneakers). The nearest hospital is confirmed and mapped before every shoot.
The Audition Process
All applications must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. Our casting directors will contact the guardian directly. If your teen is selected, you will receive the full Media Release Liability waiver to review and sign before they set foot on stage.
What Is Light Quest?
Light Quest is a high-energy, studio-based Bible game show where 3 teens compete across three rounds — Book Run, Verse Build, and Light Tower — to earn Light Tokens and win real prizes. It celebrates scripture knowledge, quick thinking, and strategic risk-taking.
Who Can Participate?
Contestants must be between ages 12 and 17 at the time of filming. We seek diverse representation across denominations, regions, and backgrounds. Basic familiarity with the Bible is required — all common versions (NIV, NKJV, ESV) are accepted.
  • Age 12-17 at time of filming
  • Basic Bible knowledge
  • Good sportsmanship and team spirit
